Music News Champlain School Song
Congratulations, Champlain Composers
Congratulations to all of
our student composers for their hard work and commitment to their music and
development of their work. These students are participants of the Vermont
MIDI Project, an online forum to post student music compositions and to receive
feedback. Student work goes through several revisions with the help of
online composer/mentors.
Note: To hear and see the 2007 compositions you will have to download "Scorch." You will be led through the steps and need to do this only one time. DOWNLOAD NOW. The "Scorch" program installs more readily with Internet Explorer.

I named my composition Peace because it sounded very
peaceful to me. It had started out as a jumble of notes and then it turned into
a trio of the violin, cello, and French horn. I think the thing that helped me
to make it most was emailing back and forth with my mentor, Erik Neilson. He
helped me sort out my composition so that there werent any clashes
between the notes the instruments played and other things like that. I had a lot
of fun composing during this program.
