Where did you grow up? Portland, Oregon
Favorite part of afterschool or working with children/youth: I love getting to know the kids and families and watching them grow during their time in the program. Also kid jokes are the best jokes!
Hobbies/what do you like to do outside of work: When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family camping, hiking and exploring Vermont.
Professional experience and education: I spent time studying environmental studies at Warren Wilson College in North Carolina, as well as at CCV in Winooski. I also served with Americorps NCCC for two years as a corps member based out of the Charleston, SC campus and then as a team leader based out of the Denver, CO campus. I have been working in the Burlington Expanded Learning Program for five years – three years as the Assistant Site Director at Flynn Elementary and the past two years as the Site Director at Champlain Elementary.

Where did you grow up? Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Favorite part of afterschool or working with children/youth: Introducing kids to new interests while also being able to make meaningful and long lasting bonds with families and community members.
Hobbies/what do you like to do outside of work: Hiking, biking and playing music. When I’m not outside exploring, I enjoy watching movies and reading non-fiction books.
Professional experience and education: I attended Champlain College and studied Secondary Education and Psychology. While at Champlain, I worked in the Burlington community as a mentor to elementary and high school students through several local organizations, including the King Street Center. When not at school, I spent my free time working as a floater in a local preschool, eventually accepting a job as head teacher in one of their classrooms. I worked at the preschool for 5+ years, implementing my undergraduate studies and engaging in hands-on learning, before joining the afterschool program at Champlain Elementary School.
